Weird problem with hallman.

Weird problem with hallman.

I have this really wierd problem on my evo 9, I had my boost on 27psi spike and tapers to 23psi today since i was not racing i tryed to lower it a little and somthing wierd happen when i tryed to do a 3rd gear pull the psi shot up too 30+ I tryed to lower by turing with the arrow pointing to the - side the same thing happen, anyone had this problem before? Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hoses crossed and careful with boost spikes like that will cause damage to your engine.

waste gate to the bottom of the mbc and the turbo nipple to the side?

Nope other way around w/g to side . Turbo. J pipe to bottom and shouldn't turn up the boost without a tune or you will be sorry

I have alot of mods on my car, I am going on e85 and geting retuned. 27psi is fine with my mods.

Just cause you have mods don't mean you should be hitting boost. Shouldn't be untill your tune you will lean out your engine and cause damage.

You know that little ball inside the mbc, when i took it all out is the ball supposed to go in first and then the spring after it? or is the spring supposed to go in first and then the ball and then put the cap back on?

nah man its only a mbc. Do you know which one goes in first the ball or the spring? ball and then spring or spring in and then ball.?

get rid of the MBC and take advantage of the GM 3port or similar.
