boost gauge question

is it bad if the boost gauge needle sits like this when the car is off ? i know your gauge is fried if it sits well below in the vacuum section. pay no attention to oil pressure its not connected yet so i dont no where it should sit on ignition.

Not trying to be a dick....just honest. The prosport gauges are a little on the cheap side so that kinda stuff will happen over time. Its not a big deal i would just start looking at upgrading gauges.

GL!

Its about std---think about it, its reading 2psi (vacuum) off of 0. As stated in the earlier post to get more accurate you may have to invest a little more

There is nothing wrong there really. It's supposed to be at "0" on the dot but that's nothing -2 to be concerned about.

My prosport gauge (digital) does the same thing.
My analog autometer and VDO gauge also sits just below 0.

No it shouldnt be sitting at 0, if I remember correctly mine (Prosport mechanical) sits perpendicular to the ground with the needle pointing down when off. as for taking it off you can search on here how to remove that whole trim and theres 2 studs coming on the back of the gauge that may or may not be holding it down as well.

^ mechanical gauges should be at 0 with the car off

@OP that's nothing to worry about; if you want it perfect just buy a new gauge

yea - that little error there isn't anything to worry about, it just means the gauge isn't "zero'd" and i dont think there's a way to zero them yourself, just kind of a luck-of-the-draw thing

I've seen many gauges sitting just below the '0' when the car is off, AEM, Autometer, HKS, A'pexi...shouldn't be any problem.

This looks normal to me and besides a gauge is just a representation of what is actually going on inside.

Most of my auto meters over the years have been around there at atmosphere, maybe a bit closer to zero but usually error to the vacuum side
