shotty labor
Flywheel bolts coming loose is not necessarily a sign it was installed incorrectly. A missed shift or over rev could cause that. Some people also best the crap out of their cars and blame a shop who did something simple for the car ever breaking again. Taking someone to court is a waste of time. Unless you can prove fraud you will not win anything. I had a friend who used to do launches and burnouts in his car every day plus 60mph clicks dumps to get the car sideways who loosened the bolts twice and broke 2 100mm cranks blame everyone who worked on TKe car including me. I fixed the ranks so he could sell the car and miraculously it lasted for 4yrs until we lost track of the car. English Racing does good work so for your sake I hope you were right and it all works out for you. But of you break it after they are done with it look in the mirror.

Well First of all I do not abuse my car. It is babied like no other. I only drove it maybe a couple times from work and back so I know I didn't cause the problem. It started up with the noise very quickly after the labor was done. I know they don't do their job right when every single person that knows of them had something bad to say about them. I am currently in the process of getting together the proof that they are at fault for this problem. Once that is set to go I will present it to them and hope that they will refund me for their terrible labor. My neighbor is has also known the owner since they were kids and even he wouldn't take his car to them

I am not a great mechanic (OK, frankly, I syuck) but after paying other people good money to screw up cars I decided that when it comes to screwing up, I can do that by myself and I don't have to pay myself anything for my time.

Other peoples' mistakes are how I learned to do my own work.

Sucks to here your story, though being in Montana you should know better haha. I don't trust anyone in this state, but Jerry's Transmissions did a rather cheap successful clutch swap on a IX in town not to long ago. Besides a 10 hour drive to ER isn't too bad; I'll be making that drive probably in the fall for my 60k.
