SRS light

I bought my car about a year ago and the guy i bought it from said the light is on because he unplugged on of the sensors and plugged it back in it just turned the light on because he unplugged it. Will the light come on for something like that or is there another problem? and also the car has been sitting for about a year without a battery because i was in the middle of a build but now that the build is done the car still has that light on. is there anyway to check why its on without goin to mitus and spending 50-100 bucks?

a body shop could do it for you aswell, if he unplugged any of the airbags this would go off and stay on untill reset. I never had to reset mine cause i used the lil fuse when i replaced my steering wheel, i dont think PCMscan or evoscan can reset this light at all, kinda like you need the specific tool to do it like the MUT tool to reset the Emobilzer code.

No, you use a resistor to keep the srs light from coming on in the first place.

If any of the airbags or seat belts have been disconnected you need to do a reset.

Any decent auto body shop should be able to do it as well.
