Evo 8 bogging down only in 4th and 5th

A while back I was involved in a front end collision. While it was getting fixed I put Perrin fmic and injen piping kit on it. Dont know if that would cause this bogging issue but ever since this accident the car just hasn't run right. 1st thru 3rd pull pretty hard but when you throw it 4th it feels like it wants to go but it's just not there. It starts to get sputter at some points. Still feels quick but the power isn't anything like it was before this accident. I have noticed that my fuel pump is not a constant whine. Its like a heart palpating skipping little beats on and off. Could that be the culprit. Insight is greatly appreciated it sucks to drive the car and not actually have fun with it. O and it also seems to be using more gas than before.

How bad was the collision and what all was messed up. Upgraded pump? Solve the pulsating pump problem first. Take logs so others can see.

Left side left right front unibody right in front of me bent in front towards motor. Front fascia completely destroyed they pulld out the frame and redid the entire front end. Only thing that was touched was the wastegate arm on the turbo looks like a bent in al title bit but everything moves free when I put a wrench on it. Maybe it could of pushed the whole pin in and the wastegate I'd leaking a little idk.

do you got a wideband? cuz, without it, were just taking shots in the dark here. it sounds like your running out of fuel. ave you checked your fuel pressure? also, have you checked your spark plugs?

I'm really tight on money right now. Those were my first thoughts. Wideband boost gauge, new fuel pump, and throw on the cop wih new spark plugs but I won't be able to afford that for awhile. Maybe I should just steal the gauges out of the gsx for know so I can give you guys some info to go off of. Just don't understand how those would fiail from the accident. My first thought is the fuel Pump cuz it's acing up but how can I justify it when I'm buning more fuel. I'm seriously getting less than 20 mpg on the highway babying the **** out of it. I'll burn thru half a tank in 70 ish 80 miles. Less than 200 on a full tank.

Iif anyone else is a full time technician at a shop you probably feel the same way I do. When I'm done work what use to be my hobby is the last ficking thing I wanna do. I'm almost ready to just pay somone to do it. Never turn your hobby into a job. Worst idea I ever had. Now I pretty much hate doing anything to any of my 3 vehicles. Guess that's why they say never buy a car off a mechanic lol. Sorry for off topic any other ideas besides what I mentioned would be awesome. They did change the. Boost solenoid but according to the vacumm diagram everything is legit so I'm pretty much out of Ida's.

Is there nothing stupid simple that we're not thinking of that could cause it. What about it sitting for 3 months then having the ****ty gas run thru it. Could it plugged up the fuel filter that under heavy load it can't supply?

You installed pipes and intercooler after right? Could be throwin it more fuel than it can burn up top and making it stutter. Old gas could prob cause it, but seems like it would do it under any load not just on top, and DEF check the plugs.

Alright first thing I'll do is grab the wideband and boost gauge out of the gsx and get new plugs. That probably the only thing I can afford right now. Fines and bills are killing me. I definitely has some sort of miss even at at idle but I figuring that would go away with cop. Update when I hook up gauges and see where we're at. Thanks for the.
