Suggestions: Should IC be next?
Change the IC piping and FMIC and just get it over with. Problem is the stock FMIC was designed to work well with a stock turbo at stock boost levels. When you get your car tuned and start to push the stock turbo into higher boost levels, it creates heat and the stock pipes and FMIC can't keep up, especially on pump gas. E85 is a different story.
yes id say get at least a reputable (no turbo xs ebay bs) 3" intercooler no bigger than 3.5" and a good licp (ets, muse, ams, etc) and uicp IF you wanna feel "complete" but they dont make much power unless you go short route with a mini battery!

I'm only around 340 whp on VD and just replaced my FMIC with the ETS 3.5" wide kit. They don't make much/any power innately, but they give you more cushion to add timing up top and still cool the air enough out of a stock turbo to ward off knock, not to mention the beating a stock FMIC would take on a track. My car came with injen upper and lower hard pipes so I just had to replace the core. Took an hour to do. I'd rather have peace of mind that multiple pulls in a row aren't going to heatsoak the FMIC and potentially cause issues with knock.
Thanks for all the reply guys. I'm going w/ the 3.5 ETS intercooler kit w/ the mini battery. Can't wait till I get the car setup and done.
I'm just waiting for one of the 2 tuners i'm inquiring about (GST/FFTEC) for a reply. A few days have passed and nothing yet.
I am definitely doing E85 and whatever is necessary to be able to change from one map to the other.
Thanks again!
