Ams Small battery kit vs Batter relocation??

So i just bought an optima yellow top for my evo 8 and it takes up a lot of room so i was thinking about doing a relocation kit for it but ive also read that just switching to the small battery kit could help save alot of room as well the only major question i have is i do have a decent stereo set up Rockford T-500 amp with one Punch v3 12' sub will the small battery be able to power all that plus all my gauges (6) thanks guys

Everyone will say search..... causes this has been a destroyed topic.... but....

the safe bet is to relocate. Even if someone says it'll be ok with a mini, will you be pissed if it isn't? and it fails and sucks *** etc...? probably.

Some people have issues with small batteries....especially when powering large stereos, etc.
Some people dont have a single issue.

I would relocate to trunk, and run your optima, and be worry free.
You will gain MUCH more space in the engine bay if you relocate.

In my opinion relocate. Big amp and small battery dont mix if you like to listen while the car is off. Plus in winter (cant tell your location) the small batteries drain faster.

The main advantage of the mini over a relocated full size battery is weight (obviously). Not only is the mini smaller, but the wire you're going to run from one end of the car to the other is not lite.
Since you have a sub and amp any way, go for the relocate.

I am currently running an AMS Mini kit with an 800 watt mono amp with 5 gauges. I have had this setup for 5 years now and have had no problems what so ever. But I will still recommend a battery relocate. Especially if you plan on dailying the car. I feel you will be much happier and you shouldn't ever run out of cranking amps or battery life for that matter. Best of Luck with your decision
