That sounds like a hole in the exhaust to me..what happens if you like put your foot, hand or towel into the pipe.. does the engine keep on idling at the same RPM or does it drop a bit or much?

If it idles at same rpm you got a hole.. if it dies / lost a lot of rpm its something else!

If you have the capabilities, hook evoscan up and log STFT. If you are getting zero feedback, you're o2 sensor is bad and I've seen that with a couple locals. Sudden death of the sensor

It fires up fine, but the second it turns over the idle drops and almost stalls just happened again. I had to give it a little throttle to keep it alive

Did you ever solve this? I am having a similar problem, just not as lopey outside of the car. Woke up to it as well on the 23rd. Idle is only fluctuating 29 RPM back and forth according to datalogging from evo scan.

I got rid of my hks filter for a new clean k&n, cleaned the Maf and sprayed the throttle with the maf cleaner. Help out a lot. Next step is to take the throttle off and clean it fully. After I figure out why I snapped two belts in four hours. Unrelated issue.
