Injen intercooler piping+intake

Do you need to retune or is it a bolt on without issues?

Read on injen you dont need to tune because it meets factory specs, but the car feels sluggish a bit, this morning it pulled hard but it could be from texas heat...

I read awhile back if you get a filter you need to retune but this contradicts with injens reccomendations

Did you install both the piping and intake all at once? If so, did you do a boost leak test afterwards to be sure you have no leaks?

If you are on a stock tune (from the factory) then you should be fine, you may over boost. It would be ideal if you could monitor AFR or boost, to really tell.

If you are already "tooned" then this would have adverse effects on the AFR + Boost and would need to be re-tuned.

my friend ran one on his evoIX for almost a year as his only mod and had no issues with it. dont know if it was any benefit to performance but it did seem to spool earlier and very noticeably louder

I had injen everything (UICP, LICP, Intake, and exhaust) on a rich fuel map, but everything else was stock or tuned by an idiot & not really adding power at all (boost maps). I thought it would be leaning stuff out when I started logging but it wasn't really.

You should be just fine brother. If you want any increase in power then go ahead and get a tune but if not, whatevs..

Oh and I strongly suggest t-bolt clamps and new silicone, the injen hardware is kinda poopy. (failed me twice in a tunnel)

I thought mine (same injen setup) was ok. Until Tom (tscomp) started tuning my car last night. Night and day difference. Unless you planning more mods in the NEAR future. Get it tuned. You will NOT regret it.
