shifter on my evo is very stiff in every gear

I have just swapped out the Underhood bushings and it is still stiff going into every gear. I am just wondering if anyone has ever dealt with this. Thx

level the car off (perfect if you had a lift) then take off the filler plug on the trans. the fluid should be filled to the hole. I find that mine has good days and bad

Try change fluid. Idk what you running, i heard many 5spds owners are happy with amsoil or redline. If you have 6spds, i recommand castrol syntq.

I'm experiencing the same thing except only when going into 5th gear. I too have under-hood bushings, base bushings, and a short shifter.

if you have any slop/movement in the under hood shifter bushng it will feel stiff to shift. what kind of bushings do you have. this is most common with sold metal bushings.

did you use the clip washer? or a twist pin tosecure it? make sure you didnt twist the cables when you put them on. that could possibly make it tighter
