I got my car tuned last friday made 344hp and 334 tq on a stock 8 turbo(9.8). I went to launch the car and the rpm's shot up to 8,500. Then noob kicks in. I thought I must of did something wrong so I try it again this time passed 9k. It didnt blow up so then the next bright light in my head clicks on. Wonder where the rev limit is when im driving? Well I cant seem to hit that without being too scared. Before I got tuned I had launch control and a rev limit from a flash. I have kelford 272 and a stock motor. My question is why are these things not still in the tune? Is it normal to leave these things off? Is there a rev limit to prevent over reving when trying to launch the car? Thanks for the help in advance if this is the wrong direction let me know.

 

Well the way to figure out if you have a rev limit is to ask the tuner not just ring it out until it blows up.

Becareful hitting 9k rpms without springs & retainers upgrade.

 

yea I dont know where the limit is I will get with the tuner this week. Yes I was speaking of launch control. I dont have that right now and i miss it.
