Building more boost - Launch Control

What's up everyone, have searched and searched with no avail. I am curious what people are hitting with their stock launch control set from the factory. I was getting between 4-6 psi off the line. Jumped my stationary rev limiter from 5000 to 5750 to try that and got 8 psi max. I was at Bandimere last week and could not get my launches down without bogging or having the clutch smell awful. What should I be launching at and are there ways to increase boost for launch control, or what are my other options?
Thanks!
Tyler

I wont launch as I have no interest in drag racing, but people who do that I know use between 6-7K. Anything under that tends to bog. Ideally you want slight wheelspin to save your drivetrain too, if its doesnt slip all that torque puts enormous strain on things and evos weren't built to cope with it (hence all the broken **** when people drag them).

This, and stock 2 step is at 5500 rpm. I made about 5 psi at 5500 and 6k.
And also if you smell burnt clutch, your not launching right. Try to slip it a little.

My stock LC was at 5k. And I have tried several different techniques, slipping leads to smelling. So anything else and it loves to bog, even trying the ebrake to pre-load the drivetrain at the line.

You want to slip it and release it just as if you were at a stop light. Bandi huh, you in Littleton?

switch to tephra v7 and build a launch map. play with the timing from there. I can build anywhere from 5psi to 15psi depending on the timing in the launch map.

+1 v7. A little proper tuning ive seen 20 psi. Never had the ***** to run more than 10 though. Thats already generating a lot of wheel spin!

I'm up in Northern Colorado, went down for test and tune. I do like the tephra mod launch control, I am tuned by Tobz. Do I need to have Tobz convert it over and get it set-up for me? Or can I use my current map with Tephra? I have looked into it a little but just not 100% sure.

My rev limit is set at 6200 and it works very well for me. I think I only build about 6-8 psi before releasing the clutch pedal but the boost comes on almost instantly once I do. Aside from driving technique, two things helped me improve my launches- 1.) Raising the rev limit. 2.) Getting rid of all of the boost leaks. Once my car started spooling like it's supposed to, I actually had to lower the boost in first gear in order to control the wheel spin.

Maybe it's just my set up, but I have no need for launch maps now that my turbo is spooling like it's suppose to. I think if I did try to use the launch maps it would only result in more wheel spin and hurt my '60.

^ My Stationary limit/LC is at 5750 now at 8 psi. I couldn't break loose whatsoever at 4 psi.

When i had a stock turbo i could get 30psi at 6000rpm. My hta86 can only do 20psi at 7000rpm. Retarding the ignition timing and adding fuel while your on the 2step will make the boost fly! +1 for the v7 launch maps....
