OverHeating
Run a ground directly from the batt ground to the gauge ground. It's on the valve cover closest to the BOV. See if the stock gauge behaves normally. I'm wondering if your fan might be the thing making the noise.
The noise has stopped, so it may have been a coincidence...but it's like stuck at quarter way when cold, then when warm (running temperature) its spiked to the H...I wonder if my system that is running off the battery has anything to do with it?
This is an interesting post because my car is doing the samething, it's like I have to left off the acceleration peddle and then it goes back down to normal. Maybe check the water pump because I'm doing the samething with my car and the belts
OP, good luck with the shop. Hopefully they can resolve your issue for you.
No, it will start to go up as I just let it sit there idle, I try to stay out of the turbo period when I was testing ye over heat...I feel like it may be just the gauge, but I will know shortly
I'm having I believe the same issue. Car temp is fine till you start boosting and it goes up. Slow down or let off gas and it slowly goes down. Is this what you had? If so how did you fix it? Parts o part numbers would be great. Thanks

With any of the oem parts on STM's site, you can add the parts to your cart. When you look in the cart, it will show you oem part #'s, in case you just wanna pick them up at a local dealer. Extremepsi is good for oem part # referencing as well.

Watch to see if coolant is being pushed over to the jug and then onto the ground. If that happens and you know you have a working thermostat = HG.
