Torque Solutions EGR plate

Was this suppose to come with a gasket? I saw that STM has a gasket with their block off plate. I think its causing my car to run rich letting air out... There was no OEM gasket on when i removed the stock EGR system. Can someone chime in? I put black RTV on it to seal it but, its not sealing.

i have the stm one and am NOT using a gasket, but i AM using Permatex Ultra Grey RTV Sealer.

I applied it on the block off plate nice even thin layer, reinstalled, let dry over night, and leak free at 30psi under leak test.

Yeah. There should be a metal gasket. (It doesn't come with it, but you should use one).

If you're really in a pinch, pull off the plate and trace it out on a tin soda can. Cut that out with tin snips and you have a quicky gasket that will seal up your EGR.

It does not come with a gasket. We use permatex rtv silicone and they seal perfectly.

I guess the RTV I used wasn't strong enough, So permatex grey works good ? is there a better kind recommended?

I used this :

http://www.permatex.com/products/aut...sket_maker.htm

Maybe I didn't let it cure long enough.

Ok I'll clean it off & get some ultra grey, I have to buy a new T35 bit mine came up missing so I'll pic some up today. Does this sound like it might be the cause of my rich idle & WOT pulls?

i noticed you have self tuned in your sig. You might wanna post up some logs and your rom in the ecuflash section to make sure your tune is ok. Or have Tscompusa look at it,he made my car run 100% better than i had it,

Yeah, I can get some, my HDD in the laptop burnt up some im waiting on my new one. I didn't have to adjust anything until after i removed the EGR. everything was pretty much dead on afr.

I put the ultra grey on last night, letting it cure for the 24hrs it calls for, Also found a minor leak from my mbc the valve nut wasn't seated 100% tight. I'll find out if anything changes from those 2 things around 5pm
