Timing belt could have made the pump gears seize if it was set too tight. Does it have a stub shaft by chance?

It has the MAP BS delete so I believe it's a stub shaft. How can it make the pump gears seize? It was tight but not crazy tight.

I had a new oem mitsu pump seize on me, luckily it was at an idle and everything was tight enough that my gates belt stopped it dead. Did you pull it and inspect the pump? There are a few things that could have happened. My personal experience, the main shaft on the drive gear did not receive lubrication quick enough and ended up seizing in the case. Another likely cause, the bolt backed out on the driven gear letting the stubby shaft drop and wedging the driven gear into the case.

Im on my 4th engine now...I know how you feel lol
Im afraid to drive it
all failures weren't my fault either who built it or just part failure
and what sucks is there is no warranty for built motors

Although warranty isn't implied, any shop that wants to keep customers around should honer assembly error, and correct the problem at no cost.

Otherwise I’d start a **** storm and make sure everyone knew about it.
