strange throttle issue when driving fast

i noticed when i try to shift in a spirited manner during spirited acceleration, even with my foot coming off the throttle my engine revs up when shifting. in 4th or 5th if i mash the gas and am above 4k, it will keep the throttle in, which is scary. it holds it for a few seconds and then returns to normal. its a bit annoying, when shifting hearing the motor rev up during fast acceleration. any ideas whats causing this? i dont think its a stuck cable cuz it moves smoothly and doesnt catch on anything

is this no lift shift? i had the car tuned a month ago maybe they accidentally engaged that feature?

Its a sign of a clutch going out. I had this problem. Replaced the SOB and now every shift the clutch grabs at low RPM's.

I would agree as long as your rpm issue is along with or right after clutch engagement.

yeah pushing the pedal in disengages the clutch so i dont see how your problem would be due to a worn clutch. I think TxFAkuma just misunderstood your post and thought your rpms are jumping up while trying to accelerate

I believe it's call "Rev Hang" which is totally normal with a lot of new cars

What do you mean it "keeps the throttle in" as in the gas pedal stays on the floor and doesnt return to resting position? ie you floor it take your foot off the gas and the pedal stays down and the car still accelerates then the pedal slowly comes off the floor? What happens when you shift spiritedly and hold the clutch in and dont let it out? Does the car keep reving and then come down?

I read something a while ago that said that this is normal. As someone mentioned above I believe it is called rev hanging. As long as it doesn't seem to be getting worse, I wouldn't worry too much

The issue is NOT shaft seals.
Rev hanging is a throttle by wire issue. Our cars are cable.

my seals are leaking though.

if i am driving spritedly when i push in the clutch there is a slight rise in rpm and then it drops, almost as if i blipped the throttle
