a reason your rpm's rise might be because although your engine might be at the same throttle, your pushing the clutch in and taking the load off the engine. So same throttle but no load means rpms will go up.

of course now the question is why your throttle is staying open. My thought would be a sticking throttle body valve. Check your TB for excessive carbon build-up. I wouldve also thought TB seals but I don't know why 1d10T is saying its not especially if KCtron had a similar problem to your and new seals are what fixed it. anyway, good luck

Is your throttle cable routing stock or have you tucked it? If it's tucked it could be kinking or binding.

Go into the tuners forum and search on "throttle hang".

I had the same problem and it turned out to be my throttle shaft screws were a little loose.First i cleaned out my throttle body and it helped but the actual problem was the shaft itself. The loose shaft caused the butterfly to catch on the inside of the throttle body, and didn't close properly, which made the revs go up instead of dropping.
