GHL exhaust woes
GHL exhaust woes
I just got the GHL exhaust kit for my evo for those of you unfamiliar with the kit it comes with both a highflow cat and resonator and delete pipes for both. That is where the issue comes in. I live in cali so going catless on the street is not really an option plus its too loud and it stinks with out the cat and the resonator in.
But i also track the car about once a month, and I am not against a switch to cat less resonator less set up for some track days. the issue i am having is that I want maximum gains out of both set ups. so i need a custom tune for the street:
K&N- 91 octane- cat - resonator
and a second one for the track:
K&N- 92-3 ocatane no cat- no resonator
And maybe a third for 100 octane and nocat/res. just for ****s
The question then becomes what kind of systems have the capability to hold all three of these settings and make it easy to switch. I am aware of some but i would like to know about all of them who sells them and the cost associated with each.
thanx alot for the help.

The map switching is without a laptop (ie. just flip a switch on the fly). You can have as many maps as you like on your laptop and load each one when you need to. The map switching is useful for those things like street vs race maps, etc.
If you're doing no cat, no resonator, I would just set that map for 100 octane and use that at the track since that seems to make more sense. If you really needed to load the 92 octane map for the track, you can juse use the laptop to upload it.

How is this 'woe' related to the GHL exhaust in any way?
I added to the threads title so people aren't let to believe you are having troubles with your GHL exhaust.

I was being sarcastic I just forget it doesnt carry well over the web
Feel free to edit the title if it offends any one or upsets them I love the kit.
