Oil leak in rear passenger side

Hi

I'm new to this forum. Just brought a evo 9 fq360 a couple of weeks ago.

I've discovered a oil leak in the rear passenger side.

Took it to Mitsibushi garage and they said they have resealed the ayc pump gasket. This didn't stop the leak.

Any ideas what could be causing the leak. I've kept an eye on the ayc oil and that doesn't seem to have gone low.

Anyone had a similar problem?

The bay that protects the ayc is full of oil I just went under the car and had a look but couldn't see anything dripping.

so its still leaking from the ayc pump gasket? a crack or not sealed properly maybe?

first thing i would do is clean up every existing oil residue, puddle, etc.

then sit there and look for where its coming from. im thinking you would have to drive around for it to start leaking again.

oil drips are slow you wont be able to notice the level decreasing from a slight drip. it may look like you lost a ton of oil but its actually not much.

a very small amount of people on here are overseas and have ayc. so not much help but again with any leak, its all about cleaning everything up to find your source.

Is it dangerous to be driving the car with a leak from the ayc?

The evo is my daily drive. I've booked it in with Mitsibushi again... Is it safe to drive if it's not sorted quick enough?

What damage can it cause?

Like sujinX said, maybe its just residue from when it was leaking and the mitsu techs didnt clean it up good. Lift the car and clean everything nice and clean drive it normal but keep an eye for the ayc oil level, after a week of driving check again to see if its still leaking.

I felt the bay when it came from Mitsibushi 2 days ago and it was dry. Now it's full of oil again.

It's going in to mitsibushi again this morning - let's hope they can fix the problem with out quoting me for a new ayc pump.

I'll keep you guys posted.
