There won't be a for sure answer until you go see it in person and drive it and get a Carfax.

I'm going to have to agree with SS2evo, definetly spend the 20 or so bucks and get a carfax.
i know us evo owners keep the mileage low on our cars, but 39,XXX miles on a 03??? Not only did the guy who wrote the ad seem illiterate, but he has a plethora of cheap parts on the car....

It's your call dude, but I myself would stay clear of that thing. something doesn't seem right.

yea i would prefer to give 14.5k to someone who can write more properly than that. most likely not an "adult owned" well cared for car based on the language of that post...and the autozone spectre filter is also a killer for me. it does look clean though, the only way to tell is to check it out in person and drive it

Dont take it on any hard turns, the battery isnt even secured properly ( no top brace to secure it). Is that a vta bov? It just needs some de-modding if it all checks out fine when you drive it. The kids language and spelling would be my deterrent. I dont know about forking over 14,500 dollars to someone who writes like that.

When I bought my 03' last year it had 61,XXX so that sounds about right if they didn't drive in winter and just drove it for fun. I'd say it wasn't a DD. looks alright just take care of battery.

It has:

Upgraded "Intercoo"
A "Hoyo radiator"
A special hose from HKS for the turbo

And the best part "is PA clean titlo"

Sounds legit to me

best part for me is the ACD TC from a IX into a non-ACD evo... Did they swap in the whole ACD system too?

I would get that thing inspected. Get a compression AND a leak down test performed.

and what everyone else has already said.

It actually looks pretty clean from the pics and looks like there is a few nice parts on it. Maybe English is not the sellers first language. If I was in the market for a car, I would go check it out. Take someone knowledgeable about evo's with you or ask in the regional forums if anyone knows anything about the car.

The price seems pretty low for such low miles. Clean looking too. I'd guess the original owner modded it, then put it back to almost stock and the current owner is a teen and can't make payments. Just my guess. I'd definitely check it out but don't be afraid to walk away. Bought mine with 29k miles feeling confident and 1000 miles later I was paying for a transmission.
