Where to buy assortment of hex head bolts ?

What's going on everyone ?

Just wondering if anyone has any good site's on where I could buy a good assortment of hex head bolts for my build ?

I've been looking around and I've found a couple site's so far but they carry stainless or titanium kits and they go for upwards of 500$ for a 100 piece kit.

I am looking to keep all grade 8 bolts. I would like to do the socket cap just because. If it ends up being easier to just buy a nut and bolt assortment i'll just do that seeing as i've found some assortments already.

If anyone has any idea's let me know. Not really looking to spend 500 on an assortment and not even end up using or having more of the ones i need. lol.

Check local hardware stores. I found a huge assortment of grade 8, or the metric version of grade 8 which is 11.9, at Ace hardware.

just an FYI, Grade 8 metric is NOT the same as grade 8 SAE...

Grade 8 metric comes out to just under 61K psi which is Grade 2 SAE.

The metric equivalant of SAE Grade 8 is metric grade 10.9.

Just a warning... Metric Socket Head Cap Screws in 10.9 are extremely expensive as they are rare...

Most people go with a much lower grade cap screw sacrificing strength.

Thanks for the replies. I do have a fastenal in my area as well as just ordering online.

As for ace hardware that is something i didnt expect.

But yes i do know grade 8 is sae is different than metric just used grade 8 so everyone got the jist of it. But thank you.

Ive found some socket head cap assortments but I think I would be better off figuring out which are the most commonly used and make sure that kit has them. lol. Most kits i see for socket head cap are in a limited size range per unit.

I still have all my nuts and bolts mainly but moving the car and so many times while its been down I don't want to be looking for nuts and bolts. That and replacing them with new ones is always good too.

Ace hardware or truevalue. I replaced all m6 bolts with ss button cap hex. Bolt + washer they start to add up fast but its still cheaper than online kits. I've prob spent maybe $75 to replace all (visible) engine bay bolts. Biggest difference is valve cover, spark plug cover, manifold heatshield, radiator brackets.
