Totalled my evo 8 rs, what next?
^ thanks guys Its a very sad time going through this but im coming to accept the fact that its a goner, if i dont get enough cash selling it as a parts car il just end up keeping it, saving 10k for a clean roller and drop all my parts into it, then sell the chassis as scrap...i know the chances of coming across an rs shell is slim to none so in reality I may just save up, get an X and move on if i cant find a clean 8.

The stupid 2.5mph bar that came on the front and rear of the USA only Evo has NOTHING to do w/ insurance claim in this sort of wreck....It is ONLY valid in a 2.5mph wreck or slower(mall lot) You actually SAVE the ins company money not having to replace it since it is not there to begin with. You could have fought that ins company so hard on that. Since 80% of wreck claims involving repairs are 5mph or lower wrecks, ins comps lobbied the NHSTA decades back to install beams to LOWER floorboard replacements to keep THEIR costs down, not protect your car over 2.5mph. Ins comp needs to ANNIE UP!
