I can run E85 at 30psi. That's all I'll say on this page.

obviously a risky business, considering the fact that so many cars blow up... but that being said it would be great to have that peace of mind. problem is, who wouldn't purchase a 3 year warranty for the tune of 2k and not try and blow their motor up.

anyway, does anyone in here know of or have a warranty that covers modifications.

thanks
I think you are underestimating the cost of the proposed warranty. What you are presenting here is a high risk situation for the underwriter, so while there may be a case for them to offer it, it will only be worth it to them if they make money off of it. What I see is a cost much higher than $2K.

For example--(a little back story here) I work in sales at an auto dealership--I had a customer inquire about an extended warranty on a used 2010 Land Rover LR2 the other day...now this is a 2 year old car in perfect condition with about 20,000 miles on it. With Land Rover's great reputation of building quality, problem free vehicles, the COST (not retail price of this warranty mind you) was nearly $9K (retail was double that). ***This was a bumper to bumper warranty for a longer term, so not apples to apples I know.

So you want a 3 year/36K warranty on a modified, high risk vehicle? I think you'd see costs similar to what I saw on the Land Rover.

is the "land rover has a reputation for quality problem free vehicles" sarcasm? I have a hard time processing things like that through text.

if not, I'd have to argue that land rover has garnered a reputation for being possibly one of the least reliable and mechanically unsound luxury vehicles on the market.

combine that with ludicrously high parts cost and premium labor fees at your dealer and close to 10 g's for a 3 yr warranty seems appropriate.
that being said, my buddy has an 09 range rover sport. with 3 yr warranty he bought with the car at the dealership he only payed 1799 according to him of course. in the course of 8 months on a vehicle with 41k on the clock he has more than made up for the initial investment. that thing has been in the shop more than it's been on the road. doesn't qualify for lemon law, because it's always a different issue.
evo and lr and apples and oranges anyway. can we get a warranty comp for modified imports. tell me that wouldn't be a hit.
