Well runing too rich can foul an o2 sensor, foul spark plugs, too much carbon deposit on the valves, and destroy cats if your using one. So I would recommend yes.

By the way, If I were to disconnect the rear O2 sensor would it affect the AFR, or is it the front O2 sensor that is interrelated with the MAF. The reason why I am asking this question is that my rear O2 sensor was malfunctioning which caused my #8 engine fuse to get blown, therefore I had to cut the bundle.
Thanks bro

The rear o2 sensor is the one that doesn't do much. Your wideband is after the cat? From what i've read that can give you different readings. Everything i've read has said to put it before the cat, in the downpipe.

AFRs all depend on the tune. If the tune is good enough, you can safely run leaner AFRs, even on pump gas... For instance, my car was tuned quite aggressively, but within the bounds of safe limits. At WOT, the car gets up to 12.2 on pump gas...

Edit: Thought I would add that I have been beating the hell out of it with no issues for about 4 months now.

Can't it being to rich causing it to pre detonate leading to blowing a head gasket? I could be wrong!

+1 The Merlins guide says install wideband on down pipe 2in before flange for cat in the 3 o clock position. After the cat will give you slightly leaner reads.
