Synchroshift vs Synchroshift II
Synchroshift vs Synchroshift II
I would have searched, but how do you search with a "II", search won't let ya, not enough characters. Anyway, no one seems to have regular synchroshift (or any synchroshift for that matter) and I remember some saying the original worked better. I'm almost inclined to get the II, as it is snythetic.
I'm in NJ and our local BG distr was clueless. Local dealer in Freehold used to sell it, only has one quart left. Turbotrix does not carry it. Don't think Buschur carries it, as I remember him saying a long time ago he used straight Vavoline 75-90W (I can't find any brand of GL-4 locally). Looking for info on where to get it and which one.
Thanks

You could always try GM synchromesh as well. It's easier to get at your local GM dealer, and cheaper too. You don't think GM makes its own fluids do you? I heard rumor that its the same as BG syncroshift, so I tried it about 2k miles ago and it now shifts like butter.

yep that's where I picked my BG Syncroshift up from along with to bottles of Redline Heavy Duty Shockproof for the differentials, also added half a bottle of Redline LSD additive to the rear diff, LOVE it!

Anyways, supposedly the Penzoil brand is available at AutoZone for 1/2 the price of the GM branded oil. Supposed to be around $5/ qt. vs $10/qt .
yup I was doing some research on the GM synchromesh as well a few weeks ago on the dsm boards...GM and pennzoil are one in the same...
