Mine's tuning
Mine's tuning
So, I'm in the market right now for a tuned evo 6 ecu and I came accross a Mine's tune evo 6 ecu.. has anyone ever used this type of tuning? I would prefer a ralliart map because I know the mine's one is aggressive. Would this type of tune be to aggressive for a daily driver evo?

Off the shelf tunes are less desirable since no two cars (even with the EXACT same mods) will behave the same with the same file. Take into account that not everyone buys the same parts, lives at the same altitude, or even uses the same fuel, and you can understand that having a 'one size fits all' option would produce less than perfect results.
When the VI was newer, the technology was such that people bought 'staged' off the shelf tunes and called it a day. When tactrix/ecuflash/evoscan were made available, it allowed users to fine-tune everything and get better results for individual cars, and thus made the former option obsolete.

Stick to just buying a new ecu, but then get it custom tuned to meet your cars modifications.. that way your timing & AFR are custom tailored just for your car and you get the power out of the setup that you should be.

If you dont have the experience in tuning, i would highly recommend someone else to tune your car. I suggest getting it tuned by tscompusa. You can search him on here and see pages and pages of excellent results, great customer service..plain and simple just awesome to work with !!!

Why does everything have to be based in the USA? :P I wish there were more good EVO specialists in Canada. I don't necessarily plan on completely tuning everything myself. I would like to send it to a good, reliable tuner. But I'd like to have the ability to change a few things here and there when I add a new part like an aftermarket intake, turbo etc.. Although I would definitely take my sweet *** time doing so.
