In a way! Yes, but you need to do regular maintenance. Now if you dont make crazy hp or abuse it the stock one should hold fine. If youre going to abuse it and make alot of power then yeah built it just like an engine making a lot of power. But for daily driving and occasional drag racing you dont really need too, if you know what youre doing!

wow now thats good im at 104xxx these cars are just as reliable as any car ive owned. absolutely no problems for me so far.

i mean building the tranny should make it better then stock right? better build parts then factory should mean it will last longer than a stock tranny. ( yes i know they will last a long time if treated correctly either way, this is why i say what mods will make it even MORE reliable.)

I think lie others modding and relability can not always go hand and hand but there are ways they can like me I like to over build for my power like I'm going to do Rods ment for more then my goal and I have injectors rated to 600 hp but I'm at 400+ some call it over kill but I call it safe as long as your not pushing the limits of your parts your fine I obviously have plenty more the. Injectors but just using an example like if you want a safe 600dd car build it to hold 800 so your not pushing what the parts are ment for and obviously a tune can make or break reliability as well

exactly you understand what i ment! put stronger parts in it not because you have to but because you want the motor to be under less stress.

i would say, every 20k miles do all the maintenance services. sounds overkill but will protect your car A LOT!!!...

If you're looking for a 500 awhp car to be as reliable as a 300 awhp car, that's a different story.

Such as, would building the tranny with lets say a 'shep' make it last longer even if its for a DD?

or things like building the engine.

----& lets say the car is stock besides bolt ons, stock turbo on the 8/9/10.
A good reliability mod would be upgrading your baffle kit in the oil pan due to oil starvation issue with high g turns, oil catch can is good as well
