I don't know that I'll ever drag race the car, I couldn't give two $hits what it does in a drag race. I just want t o know it's quick and reliable, good enough for me.

I love the fact that the IX can go from granny-style putting around town to blasting through freeway exits with near reckless abandon and not bat an eye. Have a truck bearing down on you that can't get over and you need to merge? 25 psi from an HTA71 says "no problem." I appreciate all that the EVO can do, it's just not in the cards for me to put it on a track. I have to learn to drive it at the limit in that environment first anyway.
Wasn't trying to sound arrogant. I actually fall mostly in category number 2 and my "not using power" statement was more of a quote/accusation that I hear from my friends.

After going to a few shoot outs the things you learn about evos is that a lot of people have 600hp if not more with a super clean evo that could win shows. its a evo thing.

Yea well here in Hawaii no tracks, no shootouts, just highway and a lot of cops lol. So that kind of forces into category 2 for those of us stationed out here

#1. I sold my hard parked ITR so I could buy a respectable platform to build a track car.

I never understood why people buy a car designed to be driven hard and then let it sit in the garage. That's like having a hot trophy wife but never having sex. Why would you do that?

I daily my car but then again I like to have nice parts that actually work. Rare part's, not so much. I won't say that you don't make use of the part's because you do indeed use them, just not to their max potential. However, there's just a gratifying feeling knowing that your car has the extra power to perform better even if it's just on the street.

I like to to both. I daily drive my car, and it rarely sees the track, so I like to do enough performance mods to make it quick and fun to drive, and enough exterior mods to make it look good. I'm not out to build a all out track car, but I don't want my car to be all show no go either.
