I don't want to bogart this thread, but I just got 261k out of my 1995 BMW M3. Had the original clutch in spite of years of autocross. So this type of mileage from a popular sports car can be done, but it takes lots of maintenance and, I think, a certain driving style when not at the track.
I bought a 2006 Evo IX MR at CarMax with 30k and it promptly snapped a cranshaft. As well, the 6 speed was ready to croak.
I just picked up the car last week from AMS with a new 2.3 stroker, Shep tranny, FP Green, and all the AMS goodies on there (no cat), 1,000cc injectors, etc...
I'm really hoping to rival our OP's mega-mileage, as I did in my M3. As of this moment, I'm still feeling like these Evos are made entirely of peanut brittle, but the OP's car reminds me of my M3, which never failed me and to this day will give anything on the road an agonizing run to show it some tail.
We shall see! I'll be following this highly encouraging thread!
