I think the key here is powerband... doesn't matter about the actual power. You could have a 800hp Evo but if it's 250hp until 6500rpm, then spikes to 800hp and redlines then that's no fun and you would probably get beat by a well-built 450hp Evo with a solid powerband and plenty of area under the curve

No. The path to contentedness can not be reached through power.

320whp on E85? Think you might need to find a new tuner. My Evo made 317whp with just basic bolt ons on 91 on the low reading GST Mustang. Folks make 380-400whp on E85 w/ stock turbo and bolt ons. There is no way you should be making only 320 using E85.

i have heard the same thing from kevin at evo d here in the dfw in texas. e85 on a stock turbo would get me in the 380-400 range.

If you daily it don't do pulls as much, just drive it normally and mash it once a week or so... Or drive around on low boost all the time and then when you want to have fun turn it up. That's what I do.

Hmmm they told me the 9 turbo shouldn't be run more then 22psi the USDM should be the same as the ADM as far as I know unless they are being extra careful.

Prob 22 psi on pump gas. E85 is a little more forgiving being of its cooling ability and the extra octaine.

Look at my sig man, 29 psi (ish) max on 98oct (mostly shell vpower). Maybe your tuner is being ultra conservative but I have run this boost for 6 months with no issues at all, can't see why it won't hold up for years. If you have a good tuner that can eliminate knock, high boost isn't an issue, it all about the tune!

Drop Tom at TSCOMPtuned a line, as you can see by my sig he is very good at safely extracting LOTS of power from the 4G63 platform, even one with fairly basic mods.

"Power Tune" in Australia did it from what I've seen they don't have much control over the stock ECU on larger then 1450cc injectors for example. Hey but I'm no tuning expert maybe some one can chime in. They said its not "good" for the turbo.

If you run the turbo on high boost 28+ it will probably not last that long before the seals go.
