I just hit a deer!

Bamby came out of no where! I just filed a comprehensive claim with Liberty Mutual online. Do you guys think my insurance will go up!? He left a BIG dent in my Fender and cracked my headlight. He also dented my door and messed up my bumper some. I figured it made since to claim it because the our damn headlights are so expensive!

Usually, comprehensive 'acts of god' claims are not suppose to increase your insurance costs........ but, there are no guarantees, its up to your insurance company to assess what type of liability you are (factor risk) for future claims. One time should be no problem, you hit 5 deer in a year, good luck your insurance rates don't increase lol

Insurance rates should never go increase for a comp claim. Agreed if you hit 5 dear in a year though they may

Yes they do, the aluminum front end does nothing to absorb impact and so lots of damage can happen from very small accidents because the panels offer no extra rigidity and support.

Damn I thought it was bad when I hit one and it caused 5k of damage ($1200) was to replace the hood because of a tiny dent. I had zero struxtural damage though ad most of the impact was taken by the side of the car and the windshield.

Here's what I could capture with my phone.the other dent's are too small.

Also, the deer lived. He was a little shaken up though.
