So last night I was driving home from work after washing my car. The cars dash lights and headlights started flickering then I lost all power. Had a buddy come pick me up with his trailer and got it home. Checked battery which was fine and main fuse which is also fine. Ran jumper cables to a known good battery and to terminals on the car. Cables started to smoke and the negative terminal got red hot at the contact point.

Any ideas?
