Christmas Car Parts [MERGE]

I haven't seen one of these threads yet so I figured I'd post one for fun. Is anyone hoping to get parts for their Evo for Christmas? Or has anyone bought themselves a gift for their car for Christmas?

I'll start it off. I bought myself a stage IV 2.3L short block from JAM for Christmas. Ships next week! Here are the specs (https://www.jacksonautomachine.com/i...mart&Itemid=12). I also got a brand new engine gasket set, oil pump, ARP L19 headstuds, and Fluidampr to go with it!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Awesome list of gifts so far! I've got to build my motor first, but I hope to work on the exterior soon!

Nice man, that block looks legit. Do you need to supply a core for it? Lots of top dollar components go into it, but even with the billet crank the price is pretty hefty if u gotta supply a core. Trust me, I understand that the value of a bulletproof block like this is beyond any certain dollar amount...I've been eyeballing the buschur 2.3rpm that includes the lightweight manley crank, which is the most comparable assembled shortblock that I know of (besides the ams which is even more expensive and doesn't require a core).

What made you decide on the jam block?

I supplied my own core for it yes. I actually spent $1000 less than what their website says because Tony at JAM gave me a deal on the K1 Billet crank. That's the reason I went with JAM. The deal on the crank and because I have 2 friends with JAM long block and their builds are awesome. One with a PTE 6262 turbo and the other with an FP Black.

I love the Buschur Racing 2.3RPM short block, its proven, but I got a deal on the JAM 2.3 short block. I've been for a ride in both of my friends cars with JAM blocks and high miles and I just love how they acted. So with the experience and cheaper price I went with the JAM block.

I've talked to Tony at JAM there quite a bit and a few people I know with JAM blocks and I just fell in love with them. Tony at JAM had amazing customer service and accomodated every request and question that I had. Plus one of the people I know with a build JAM block had 75k+ miles on it with high horsepower. Add all that to the deal I got on the short block and I was sold.

I got some shift bushings for my 6-Speed Sonic lol.

Outside of maintenance I haven't modded the EVO in a couple years really. Can't really think of anything I'd care to do other than a retune.

OP enjoy your new engine

Yeah those power levels sound right. The stock turbo will be maxed out at that point. I love the tune. I had no problems at all. My only regret was not getting better cams before the tune because I would've gotten more power out of my set up.
