Thing that happen before New years.

Well It was a normal night on Dec 30. Just got off of work, I was nearly two miles away from home, I was turning Left onto the service road. Gave it a little boost around 15-18 then it went kaboom smoke came out of the hood stuff flew out hitting the windshield like gravel. I was like really this can not be happening, pull over then saw a disaster oil was all over the engine and a big puddle on the floor. I was OK, I must a threw a rod but get better starting to look closer. Pull the timing cover off belt snap in half one gear is tdc and the other one is facing down.I wish it was a dreaming but then I called the wife and ask her if this was in a dream, but she couldn't play along. The only thin I see is a crack block that vertical from cycl#1-2 half way in the center of the block and pretty sure my valves are bent to he*l. So that how my year ended. Happy New Years

So any idea where to get a cheap block and my goal is to be close to 600hp on e-85 & 500 on pump. Just need some ideas on engine build and turbo set up.

Wow, sorry to hear....

You do the belt every 30K???

I actually have 3 extra engines I'm in the process of building, LOL

RED/Green/BBK.....
Wiseco HD and TT rods would be my guess unless you want to spend more...

Yea, I always did it cause it was simple to do and cheap. That how I got 200k + on the setup for 3 years never had and issue only regular maintenance.

Sorry to hear that... But, 200k isn't bad at all man. I'd keep an eye on craigslist for a block and piece it together yourself if you're on a budget... Just depends on how fast you need to get it back up and running though.

I sure will, gotta start doing some homework on my build. I will be limited to e85. I had it made since the station was a block away. So I need a set up for pump with 475+hp

Going to a stroker with a 4G64 block will be cheaper than buying and rebuilding a 4G63 block honestly.
