I wouldn't trade straight up but that's just me and not the norm.

Plus I wouldn't ever own a X MR. The Automated $10k tranny thing isn't for me.

Good Luck on your decision

A straight trade?

If you really want an X MR than go for it. Personally the X's arent my cup of tea but what does it matter what we think?

Edit: I may have misinterpreted the point of creating this thread. Are you asking if its an even trade or are you simply looking for a discussion between the two models?

I really want the X MR. I like the syle and 90% of my driving is city traffic so having the auto for that would be nice, with the paddles for the other 10% but not sure if i should trade or sell and buy.

Sounds like the X MR is a better fit to me. You can still add power mods in the future, if that's your thing, and enjoy a fast car. Your maintenance expenses will likely go up since you're going from a manual transmission to an SST.

I guess what i really have to figure out is what the value of my 05 with 6,500 miles is? Blue book says $25k but i think with the low milage it has to be higher. Problem is i havn't seen any other with anywhere near the low milage I have so its hard to put a value on it. Plus Its got:

ACT Xtreme clutch kit
Comp Cams
ARP head studs
GT35r turbo kit with coated manifold + v-band
AEM engine managment system
+ some other things and it was just tuned at Ivey's

I dont believe a dealer will accept the AEM because it will not pass inspection. Most dealers will want it to pass visual and electronic inspection. All the aftermarket items will only decrease the value of the car in the dealers view.

This is all based on my experience in NY as well.

I would never trade in to a dealer. I meant trading with another owner but thanks for the input anyway.

So I think I'm gonna list it in the market place and ask for offers/trades. Question is does it belong under the X or 1-9 section? Or can I list it in 1-9 for sale and list it again in X for trade?

low miles are nice, but the car is modded so that negates the mileage by a good amount. a stock 6500 mile car will be worth more than a basic modded 6500 mile car

You can only list in one section, you'll need to list it in the 'Cars for Sale' section of the Evo 1-9 Marketplace. Be sure to review the Marketplace rules before listing. Good Luck!
