idle issues
My car at a light will just go from 900rpm to 1200rpm for a few seconds and go back to normal. it will also idle up for a second when you turn on an accessory or turn the wheel while coasting. I have fixed boost leaks so they are minimal, and shouldnt afect the idle. the other thing the car does is if you creep forward two or three times like in a drive through it stalls out really annoying any thoughts. Thanks for looking
have you checked the maf? if not and you take a look at it and its covered in oil/residue from a k+n filter or possible blow back from the turbo then that might be your issue, mine was covered with crap when i got my evo, the guy never put a catch can on the car so the intake was still hooked up to the crank blow by and thus everything was coated in oil
cleaned it out with crc and all set normal idle and no issues at all

my evo does the same, and when you turn your steering wheel while the car is not moving it will idle 1200rpms,,, my evo does that because of the tune, and the steering wheel part i think thats just how they are all...
Please explain further. What exactly happens before it stalls? Do any lights come on? Does it make any sounds? What kind of mods do you have? Have you changed anything recently?
Yes its normal for your RPMs to go up when your A\C turns on or you move the steering wheel. They're driven by the crank and the engine compensates by increasing RPM.

My mods are limited to short route ets intercooler piping light weight flywheel and exhaust. I replaced the iac 3 times with used ones and it still stalls. I do not have evo scan to park the iac and set the bis screw. As for before it dips low it seems fine but if i try catch it takes a second for throttle to catch up. or else it stalls. I put an evo 9 bob on it as well. I just want it to stop stalling.
Thanks

Question. When you were replacing the Idle Air Controller (IAC), did you happen to move, adjust, damage in anyway the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)? It's the sensor above the IAC and is on the side on the throttle body.
