I bought an 06 EVO SE and went to fill up the gas and I pull the lever to open the gas door, and it doesnt pop open! I have to hold the lever up and push the door open at the same time.
What part am i missing here?

 

the door clip, its like 3 bucks from mitsu. part number MR970563. it is common for them to pop out after a while

 

Any chance for a part number? picture? link?

The clip goes where the hinge is, further on the right of your second picture. Its a little plastic + metal piece that is cheap to fix/break.
