Teaching my girlfriend how to drive the EVO

Hey everyone so my girlfriend wants to learn how to drive my 8. She knows how to drive manual cars (I taught her last summer on an older gen 3 series), but she has never driven anything with over 200 whp let alone an EVO.

Mods on the car are in my signature but perhaps the two most relevant parts are the comp clutch and light flywheel. I've gotten used to daily driving with the two of them, but for someone who has barely driven manual cars and certainly not one with this kind of setup I imagine it will be substantially more difficult to get a feel for it.

Obviously I don't want to destroy my relatively new (roughly 8k miles) clutch but the thought of her driving an EVO is .

What suggestions or concerns do you guys have?

It's your car but it sounds like bad idea to me.

Save money for a new clutch. She'll shorten the life of it.

I'd let her. If you have an EVO a new clutch shouldn't be the end of the world. Plus she will always remember it.

I'm starting to teach my girlfriend to drive as well. Learning on an evo isn't the easiest thing, but I told her when she can drive my car, she'll be able to drive any car

Why wouldn't you? The power shouldn't be an issue, just tell her to take it east with the throttle.

I tought my ex-wife how to drive a stick in my Evo, got 120 miles out of that tank of fuel. Made me happy to see her learn, I figured if she could drive this, she can drive whatever in the future.

Take her to an autocross. Then let her drive it like she stole it.

Worst you can do is boff a cone or two, the scuff marks come off easily with bug & tar remover.
