Plop a GPS unit in the passenger seat, find a safe stretch of road, go as fast as you feel safe, then click thru the memory and read the highest speed attained. Accurate, recordable and allows you to focus on just driving the car. I bet speedo is 8-10 mph off near the top speed of car.

you must be leaking boost if you cannot pull past 140. the only other factors i can think of would be wind you were fighting through or maybe bad gas.

i have a 03 v6 6 speed accord and it's electronically controlled. i can leave it in 5th and still have another gear to go but stop at about 153 with a marking of 160 on the dash...

could a Greddy E-Manage remove the fuel/electric cut on the Evo?

I agree you should have been able to get over that speed. Since you have a Dynoflash you top speed limiter should have been removed also. Not that I would say going that fast on public roads is safe at all. But your car should be able to do those numbers.
