Yea I do think my car was one of the sickest evos in town prob back in 2008-2010 before all these 9s came in and took my fame, but hey its all good, everyone gets to shine for a bit.

For the vancouver buddies, AJ's evo 9 ... was sick as hell. I always wanted to mod it like his but never got the bling too. Everyones else is just MEH . Iuno how ppl live with themself with a yellow car.. especially a evo... on s2k its fine as hell though !

@ 99 hatchback civic... : thats prob one of the nastiest cars ive seen in google image. not too sure what kinda heat u were drawing. I never understood why ppl mod $2000 cars. Why not just save up for a better one first?

@ ppl saying "car just clean" - it used to be aggressive CF hood , big *** evolution vendor carbon letters at back, custom plates ... burned so much money, but hey YOLO.. worth it.

@500hp evo who never gets pulled over: gj man, im glad u can stay away from the cops unlike me... keep it like that... the main reason why i got pulled so much was mainly AMS turbo back... you could hear the car minimum 2 blocks away.

@ ppl saying they never get pulled over - u guys live in all the states. its much different here in vancouver,bc. bunch of rich *** asian bmw m3s, c63s, [insert 70k + car here] etc... its not even a rare thing anymore. I pay 2.6k a year wit 30% discount for a 4 door sedan because of all these unlimited gold supply ****ers. How much do you pay???? EXACTLY ! This city thinks every driver came out of bill gate's *******.

@ ppl saying "downgrade" i spent the same amount when i first bought my evo and my car now... its a downgrade in "name" but its same in value. =)

BTW when driving to work, did u count how many times u pressed on ur clutch and shifted ur knob? Save that energy to do better @ the job instead

I defiantly recommend manual Evo for track, fast & furious purposes etc... but srsly not DD... do ur left leg a favor. You'll thank me later.

Hell yeah bro, a Civic is one smooooooooooth ride. Got cupholders, XM radio, the works! Maximum respect for having the ***** to keep it wholesome and sensible man!

Anyway, I daily drive my 9 through Hollywood traffic, and if I ever sell it then it means I've finally lost my **** and have moved on to a Caterham.

 

I have one question? Why was your car a he? I think that was the root cause of all your issues.

 

Odd. I don't have the longest evo history on here but I have only been pulled over once, for not having my lights on. Two teenage girls in the car (long story) , noisy Ebay exhaust (came with the car), stock wing and the cop let me off with a warning.

Maybe cause I drive like a grandpa.

I just bought a Honda mower yesterday. LOVE IT!!

 

Love my wife's Honda. Dependable, maintenance free and good gas mileage. Does all the duty and keeps the Evo in the garage where SHE needs to be 'til the weekend!

 

You don't choose the evo, the EVO CHOOSES IT's Driver, only the worthy can handle this *****, the unworthy either crash and total their cars, or get rid of it like the op.

Sad to see a kid whos not gone through the poor young man's beater lemon stage to really learn how to fix a car, haha you can't just jump straight into the evo if you don't know how to work on it and don't have a buttload of cash to pay other people to do it for you, I noticed mechanics tend to try to judge your wealth by the type of car you own, you own an evo they think you are loaded, get ready to try to get ripped off at most places.

Easy. The US dollar is on par or sometimes worth less then canadian. Prices in Canada hae always been high but when you factored in the 30% difference in currency it made sense.

The US dollar has tanked in the last few years and prices are still the same in Canada so yeah I can believe the 10k price tag depending on what he bought.

As for the standard vs manual comment. Unless you live in a high traffic area (where ANY manual car would be a PITA to drive) stop being a ***** and leave the slush box alone (unless its your Daily driver and you have your fun manual car to drive on the days you feel like it).

 

Honda gets my respect... with generators. They are top dawg with gasoline generators. Kinda pricy though.
