Well, it had to happen sometime.
My alternator started making noise(still charges though)

Oh well, just wanted to let everyone know.

Seems like the Denso alternator does last a while.

Nice! My stocker is still going strong @ 90K miles. I don't spin it much faster than stock redline so hope it will last just as long as yours.

That's rediculous. Spray some lube on it. It'll make it a few thousand more miles.

Yes, I have never changed it since I bought the car back in 2005, battery was replaced a while back but not the alternator. Again, it is still charging, just bearing making noise.

Just wondering why? Charging or bearing failures? does your car sit for a while? And what replacements do you get? I heard the autozone rebuilds with cheaper parts and get replaced earlier.

Yeah, it's something we learned at tech school a while back. A lot of stuff goes thought the dash now.

Remy(lifetime warranty)
Car Quest(performance plus)
Autozone(Duralast)
Denso original reman
Mitsubishi reman(denso I'm guessing)

Or something else.

I guess you got your money's worth?

That's funny that the alternator lasted that long being DENSO, their OEM oil filters are garbage. Glad to hear not everything they make is just average.

100k for any alternator is very good.
