A/c compressor gap too small?

It maybe something specific with the Evo system (which I think is undersized for the vehicle), but either way.... they are super easy to overfill and then it don't work. Sucks, but easy to fix.
Glad you got it sorted, I've helped a few others in the same condition.... because I did the exact same thing and took me a while to figure it out (months)

Let me ask you this question which I don't think you have answered yet. What are you using to charge your system and check your pressures? Are you using those cheap little cans? If so, I would stop there. All those things are garbage and can ruin your A/C system. You should only be doing this with a proper R134 machine that we use at the shops. Otherwise, you're gonna get inaccurate readings, and you can overcharge your system and damage components. You're trying to diagnose something without the proper equipment.
