Need help my Evo is over heating.

did you try letting the car idle for few mins (i let mine run for 15mins) until the thermostat open up and circulate any air pockets while the radiator cap is off and topping it off while this is happening?

I have not tried it, my car is not overheating it's just an electrical issue that's reading abnormal temperature. I was thinking it might be the cluster or the wiring. I want take care of this issue before I dyno my car.
