Evo wont rev past 5k in neutral like if i was 2stepin y

It was working fine car drives fine 2step works. But when i tried to rev past 5k in neutral its like im 2steping whats worng? Thanks

I'm pretty sure there is nothing wrong with it, all cars do that. Do more research, but again I'm pretty you're good.

It used to rev to redline in neutral but now its 2 steping in neutral as long as everything is good i dont mind i have i ses light or anthing drives find pulls hard

ok, clarify on a few things...

when you first did it were you rolling or at a dead stop?

second time you did it were you rolling or at a dead stop?

1st time dead stop. tried it yesterday wont rev past 5k like if I were holding the clutch in and it 1st gear. in motion I put it in neutral and it does rev to redline.

It could be stationery rev limit. Like 2 step but is not activated by clutch switch, below a certain speed the engine will have an alternative speed limit.
