damn intake

I got pulled over twice by two motorcycle chp's last week. they told me that they heard a loud sucking noise. I was shifting at 3k rpm. Asked me to pop my hood. They saw the cobb intake. They knew it was the intake that made the noise. Wanna go back to stock to avoid hassle but my tuner said to keep it. going e85 soon. mods are licp,dp,exhaust, hfc,dp,fuel pump, tune.

There's no question in your post.... what do you want to know? Whether you should keep the intake or not?

Its not worth the drama, could you get a cold air box fabed around it to lesson the sound?

Did the cops say anything when they saw your intake? lmao.. You gave literally as little details as humanly possible.

if a stock box will handle your power and you dont care about noise, just get a drop in and call it a day. otherwise you could get a box fabbed up to cover it, that way its not visible.. or leave it and fk the police lol!

Just need to put a carb legal one on or get a carb sticker for whatever you have

So they heard your intake over the noise of traffic, through their helmets, and over their earpiece radios? I'd buy them a dozen donuts and tell them to go bother the pizza boy trying to find another way home

They sound bored as hell... I'd tell them to just step away from the car and let's go to the nearest gas station and rob it together... then they can complain.

Seriously... emissions... intake... exhausts... all the fruity Prius drivers. I am glad I don't live in CALI CALI. Lol I'm sure it is pretty.. but we have one of those too... it's called Florida.

Yeah, the stock airbox with a drop-in (like Cosworth) will be fine. Many guys in socal still rock it and put down mid-400's on E85...

But if you still want the "wooshing" sound...just get an AEM intake. They come with the CARB sticker.

Good luck!

They never seem to bother me anymore. Then again I'm up in the northern end of the state. Wouldn't trade this for Florida any day. Can snowboard and surf in the same day and no humidity.

But back to the intake. You can get a k&n open air filter with a carb number.
