At face value it sounds like the clutch is slipping. Just to clarify, the RPM increases but the speed does not?

RPM jumps a lil... Falls then boost kicks in... Yes speed increases then

No boost leak test was ever done. This just started happening. I dont know what CEL is... And only upgrades is a cold air intake system with all piping.

Extract the codes so at least you can find out a little bit of info of what the car is trying to tell you. Feedback from you car is good to a certain degree its when you don't listen or ignore it that's when it becomes costly.

I agree with the clutch slipping, though it is strange that it would happen in this part of the powerband. Does the car ever feel like it does this under boost?

Clutch. Your boost is kicking in solidly at the same time as your torque peak. The torque overcomes the clutch and it slips a bit till the torque goes down. Then it grips. It'll only get worse from there. Baby it and start deciding on a replacement.

This sounds Exactly whats going on ^^^^^^ So you think its the clutch then? Rpm Jumps as soon as Boost Kicks in... Then the Rpms fall back down and then Grips...

It is your clutch, I had this same problem only 2 weeks ago and just decided to upgrade my clutch to stage 2 and now it's perfectly fine. But you might want to have that checked out ASAP because the longer you wait the more your clutch will start to slip even more.

My comment was from personal experience, my clutch will be here today, lol. Most people here use exedy twins or act. If your not tuned at all you could always go with stock, but if you even think, perhaps one day, you might want to do something; upgrade the clutch. I personally went with an HKS twin. I had it in my last car and loved it, near stock feel holds a ton of power.

Another recommendation would be the ACT HDSS, if you're not looking for big power, or looking to track the car (including drag strip). I've been very happy with mine, feels just about like stock and shifts fine during spirited driving and normal traffic. The cost wasn't bad either, note, I stuck with my stock flywheel and just had it re-surfaced.

Some supporting mods that might help your driving experience:

- Shifter Base Bushings
- Underhood Linkage Bushings
- SS Upper Clutch Line

A lot of folks also like to remove the clutch pill too, I haven't done it so I can't speak to it. There are sticky threads at the top of this sub-forum that go into more details. Good Luck!
