Turbo noise/ no boost pressure

While driving tonight out of no where I heard a loud noise, sounded like turbo spool but no power. After pulling over and looking for anything obvious I didn't see anything. Then noticed I couldn't hold any boost. Finally got to my hotel and tried looking again still didn't see anything. Check vac lines and all the couplers everything looks fine. Any ideas?

Boost leak test first and I'd say pull your intake off and check your turbo.

I had that happen on my VR-4 once, I could use roughly 10% throttle, but anything to the point of building boost mimicked an F-A/18 building afterburner for a carrier launch while the car didn't really move. The silicone coupler to the throttle body from the y pipe had come just loose enough that it didn't blow off, but I could pull it straight off with a tug. Re-tightened, good to go.
