removing stuck loctite plug

So... I have a very very stuck hex socketed threaded plug with red Loctite on it in my full blown double pumper outlet. I want to change it out and install a NPT to -AN hose adapter in there. Any thoughts on how to remove? any more wrenching and Im going to bend the aluminum housing. Ideas?

Ooof, why red loctite? That's meant to be permanent fixed, it is rare that you can remove it without a torch to the bolt to burn it up. Definitely not a good idea on anything aluminum.

Heat. I use one of those burners for plumbing. Hold it for 15-20 seconds, and see if you can nudge it loose. Try again for alittle longer if it doesn't budge.

Another trick I've seen is to use an air-duster can flipped upside down. The thermal shock might break the loctite.

Thanks for the tip guys. Not sure why that was used but I see it was. I will try these and see what works. Hopefully not to melt the Alum...

I hate to state the obvious but here it goes. Please be careful taking a torch to it given that you are working on the fuel system.

I've used carb cleaner before. If some threads are exposed spray it on and let soak, like overnight. I then put a little torque on it (righty tighty) to break it loose and was able to extract the fastener. Granted, it was in steel and I got lucky, but aluminum I don't know. You may just end up pulling the threads out with the fastener. Good luck.
