Weird start up issue
I checked the lines they seem to be connected toward the back of the engine under the intake manifold. I have no idea where the other end is suppose to run to or is it just suppose to be teed?
so based on the location and color of the two lines, yellow and green/blue. I think they go to the EGR solenoid. I can't however locate the solenoid. I'm starting to think it might have been removed. Can you access it without pulling the intake manifold. Also if it is removed do I just need to tee the line? It looks like thats what was does before as there was a broken black tee between the two.
Well I think that about answers it. I went and looked at the EGR solenoid and didn't feel either nipple where it was suppose to be. I guess the plastic wasn't a tee but the nipples broken off in both lines. Anyone know where I can get the part other than a dealer?
This is a long shot but my car did this once and I had a tuner look at it and supposedly my car was running too rich and it was causing my aem wideband to go haywire and causing my car to shut itself off from getting fuel. It didnt really make sense to me how my wideband would get confused thats just how he described it and I am no tuner so I couldnt argue all I know is I got a retune and my problem disappeared.
But literally the same symptoms randomly would die at idle and giving it gas sometimes would help. (im assuming youre talking about that split second it turns over before dying again when giving it gas)

So after taking it to car x and the guy telling me he has no idea what it is, i did some more looking myself. I think the problem is the IAC. I pulled it out and it was black. I tried to turn the car on with it plugged into the connector and it clicked but didn't move. Does this mean its bad?
Just stumbled on this thread and I'm having the same issue. I would go to start the car and it would start but struggle then turn off. Then I'd try it again and give it some gas and it would start and smooth out during idle. One time though it cut out on me when I was making a slow turn and I barely got it going again. It drove fine after that though for a few days. Now the car won't start at all! I thought it was the heat n humidity but now I'm at loss.
