Weird start up issue

Hey guys last night I went to move my car and as I went to start the car it turned over and then died soon after. I tried starting it several other times and giving it gas and it eventually started to idle. I drove the car around the block and had no issues. The next morning I picked up some new plugs and gapped them to .26. The old plugs really needed to be changed but it didn't solve the problem, I still have the same issue. It did the same thing this morning, on about the fourth time giving it gas it will idle and then drive normal until I turn it off again. Any idea what might be wrong?

I checked for leaks as well, everything looks good and all the sensors are connected.

i didn't know pushing the throttle would do anything on a fuel injected engine? hhmmm.
Have you tried revving the engine while sitting still? have you taken it up to hwy speeds yet or just slowly around the block?

Yeah drives normal once it's going. I can go wide open throttle and boost fine, revs good too.

How did the plugs look when you took them out? Have any pictures of them? They can tell a whole lot about how the engine is doing

just like it's running a little rich. They had some black around the tips but nothing unusual. For some reason plug 2 and 4 had rust around the middle part of the plug, the part thats not actually in the engine.

Here is a link to a video showing what it does. The first two starts are without me giving it gas, the last is with.

Did you check your connections to the starter? I'm not exactly sure what might be going on.. but another thing to check might be the resistance on some of those sensors with a volt meter. Sensors can be bad even when they look good and are plugged in. Even though the pushing the throttle thing confuses me lol sounds like somethin with fuel/pressure.

Haven't checked the starter connections. This is the third starter in the car since I have had it though. I didn't think it would be the starter since it starts and then dies. I figured it was a fuel delivery problem as well, just think it's weird it runs without issue once I give it gas. Ill try and check the sensors with a voltmeter though.

Do a boost leak test and fix any leaks.

ok so I had a chance to look at my car some more. First I made sure all the couplers were tight and snug. Second I checked the starter connections and they're all fine. I then looked for possible vacuum leaks and found something interesting...

Does anybody know what the black vacuum line in the back is for? It's the one I have my finger on? These pictures are of behind the manifold by the way kinda near the alternator. The line itself is split...

Most likely those are the vac lines that run to your intake and or throttle body. Double check the vacuum lines from the firewall to intake.

And yes, a boost leak test would have found this quickly.
